Presenters: Dr. Sheila Furey, Dr. Robert Verkerk, Dr. Thomas Roselle; Ruben G. Toyos; Dr. Kristin F. Ball, Dr. Matt Irwin, Matt Strickland; and Jonathan Emord

Dr. Sheila Furey: Dr. Sheila M. Furey is a board-certified psychiatrist in Richmond, Virginia, for over 20 years. As a psychiatrist, she specializes in diagnosing, treating, and preventing mental illness, emotional disorders, and behavioral problems.

In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Furey is involved in teaching and research activities and has published several papers and articles on various psychiatry-related topics. She is known for her compassionate approach to patient care and dedication to helping her patients achieve optimal mental health and wellness.

Dr. Robert Verkerk: Dr. Robert Verkerk, PhD is a highly respected sustainability scientist with a diverse background in environmental, agricultural, food, nutritional, and health sciences. He has over 35 years of experience in academic, commercial, and non-profit sectors, and has worked as a postdoctoral research fellow at Imperial College London for seven years. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Nutrition and the Royal Society of Medicine.

 Dr. Thomas Roselle: Dr. Tom Roselle, DC, PAK, PAc, DCCN, DCBCN is an integrative health & wellness expert, author, talk show host, practicing health care professional, facility director, philanthropist, and Chairman of the International College of Applied Kinesiology. He is well known for his mid-Atlantic health radio talk show, “Dr. Tom Roselle Live!,” his acclaimed self-health book, “Ageless Health®: Health Is A Do-It-To-Yourself Program” and his twice Emmy® award-nominated television broadcast, “Ageless Health® The Special.”

Dr. Matt Irwin: Dr. Matt Irwin is "Board Certified" In Family Medicine and has a specialty Board Certification in Hospice and Palliative Care.  He has been in practice in northern Virginia for the past 19 years and spends about half his time as a solo practitioner in family medicine with a natural medicine focus on seeing families with children, including newborn babies.  The other half of his work is in hospice and palliative care.  Over the past 19 years, Dr. Irwin has visited thousands of people with extremely fragile health in private homes, assisted living facilities, and nursing homes, primarily in Northern Virginia.

He has written a number of literature reviews about the harms caused by exaggerated fears of infection.

Lieutenant Colonel Ruben G. Toyos: Lt. Col. Toyos is a dedicated Army veteran with an extensive military career spanning 30 years, has witnessed the profound impact of the vaccine mandate on troop morale, retention, and future enlistments. Initially joining the Army Reserve in 1981, Lt. Col. Toyos held numerous command positions and deployed to several countries. While serving at the United States Southern Command, he was forced to take the experimental mRNA vaccine, which led him to observe the lack of religious exemptions and the consequences of the mandate on both recruitment and retention. As a passionate advocate for health freedom, Lt. Col. Toyos stresses the importance of reinstating affected troops, emphasizing that doing so would not only fill thousands of vacant positions but also right a wrong done to a generation of soldiers who made significant sacrifices in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Kristin Ball, Ph.D: Kristin Ball, Ph.D., is a dedicated and passionate educator with 27 years of experience in teaching communication, currently running as a candidate for the FCPS School Board representing the Mason District. After earning her Ph.D. from the University of Oklahoma in 2000, she went on to teach at esteemed colleges and universities across Ohio, Oklahoma, Virginia, and Washington, D.C. A staunch advocate for health freedom, Kristin has taught Health Communication at both undergraduate and graduate levels for over a decade, providing her with a unique perspective on the complex relationship between public health policy and individual choice. Her principled stand against the mandated Covid vaccine led to her termination, further solidifying her commitment to advocating for health freedom. As a candidate for the FCPS School Board, Kristin's unwavering dedication and rich educational experience make her a strong and compassionate choice to represent the Mason District and ensure that all voices are heard and respected.
